The Vision

The Frontier Baptist Association serves pastors, their staff, and their families on the frontlines of Kingdom ministry and missions.

This Involves: 

  • Serve as the pastors’ pastor: provide spiritual care, counsel, and encouragement to pastors and their families as they face the unique joys and struggles of ministry.

  • See the primary mission field through the pastor’s context: understand and support pastors in our network, equipping them to reach their community effectively.

  • Resource training and ministry needs: supply and coordinate theological training, practical workshops, leadership development, and ministry tools.

  • Connecting pastors: intentionally connect pastors with one another for mutual encouragement, accountability, shared wisdom, and collaborative ministry opportunities.

  • Develop a wholistic presence, in-person and online: maintain a visible, accessible presence that supports the needs of pastors and those they serve through both onsite gatherings and digital platforms.

  • Help pastors exegete their communities strategically: assist pastors in understanding local demographics, culture, needs, and opportunities so ministry plans are contextually faithful and effective.

  • Coordinate prayer support: dependency on God and His will is our primary call and desire.

The Strategy

  1. Western New York consists of 8 counties, which we’ve divided into 10 regions. Each year one of these regions will be spotlighted as an Impact zone. The impact zone for 2026-2027 is Chautauqua County (specifically the cities of Dunkirk, Fredonia, Silver Creek, Gerry and Jamestown). 

  2. An Intercultural Mission Strategist will be deployed to impact the international communities in Buffalo and upper Erie Counties. 

  3. A pastoral encouragement Network called Barnabas, will be implemented. This subscription based network will be created where like-minded pastors can be encouraged, connected, and resourced. 

  4. Mobilize partners to pray and financially support the strategies of the association.
